Whitby Friendship Amateur Rowing Club has been part of the town’s sporting and social life for generations. Situated on Whitby’s historic east side, the club brings together a passion for coastal rowing, community spirit and a welcoming atmosphere for both members and visitors.

Whether you are interested in rowing, looking for a friendly social club, or simply want somewhere to relax with views across the harbour, Whitby A.R.C. offers something for everyone.

Rowing is a fantastic way to keep active, meet new people and become part of a supportive local club with a long history and strong community spirit.

Whether you are completely new to rowing or have experience on the water, new members are always welcome. The club oers opportunities to get involved in training, local competitions and social activities while enjoying one of the most unique sporting settings in Whitby.

What truly sets it apart is the nicest person ever, John, who always makes the experience even more enjoyable. Additionally, the pub opens a lovely beer garden for sunny days, complete with a fantastic view, making it the perfect spot for enjoying a drink outdoors.
